We sell new and secondhand fiction and non-fiction books to fellow booklovers all over New Zealand and even to Australia, through the wonderful auspices of Trade Me. At BookieMonster we select all our stock personally and because we’re also dedicated readers and book enthusiasts we often have titles that can’t be found in a chainstore bookshop. Dean and Ngaire are the BookieMonster team. We’ve been in business in New Zealand on TradeMe since March 2007 and we’ve worked very hard to build up a good reputation and deliver great service and books to our customers.

Ngaire and BookieMonster Kitteh with preponderance of books

Ngaire has been a book lover from a young age! Her current favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Jasper Fforde, Kazuo Ishiguro, Margaret Atwood and Janet Frame. She finds it hard to narrow the author selection down to less than 20, but has done her best!

BookieMonster Kitteh

Blimpy is the BookieMonster Kitteh. She’s a grumpy, old, slightly senile kitteh with bad teeth who was living it rough on the streets until she found her forever home with the BookieMonsters. Her favourite things are sleeping, food, being brushed, hot water bottles, potato chips and grass (for good barfs). In her spare time she practises her panther-like skillz in the garden and dribbles a lot.
